ABOUT THE FIRSTLOOK360
FirstLook360 (FL360) is a hybrid hardware/software product utilizing dual cameras and custom built software to stitch multiple live spherical streams together to create a smooth image landscape that can be viewed and manipulated on a mobile device (Tablet or Smartphone). Additionally, the digital streams broadcast in HD quality and are designed to transmit both wired and/or wirelessly to a Android powered mobile device (Tablet/Smartphone).
Current economic conditions are driving the fire service to rethink how Technical & Rescue Operations are conducted and the resources and equipment needed to achieve a successful outcome. Visual search equipment in use today has advanced minimally since it was first introduced in the 1990’s. Any rescuer experienced in the area of technical search can easily point out the weak areas of current visual search camera’s; they are heavy, the mechanical articulation of the camera head is prone to damage, quick battery drain, configurations are static and the units are an expensive “one trick pony”. FL360 increases battery power, decreases search time, and allows a multipurpose tool that can be used in various technical rescue applications.

Upon entry into a void space the FL360 instantly captures a live 360-degree spherical view which can be controlled and explored by simply swiping a finger in any direction across the viewing screen and two-way audio capability allows a simultaneous audio search. The lightweight modular design makes it easier and faster to transport & deploy and there’s no more waiting for a motorized head to move left and right, saving time & improving outcomes.
OPERATIONAL FLEXIBILITY / MULTI-USE
The FL360 can operate in either wired or wireless modes and is extremely versatile. The design is portable, rugged, modular and IP68 rated to support use in a variety of operational situations; Structural Collapse, Vehicle Extrication, Confined Space, Hazmat, High Angle Rescue, Fire Investigation and Fire Inspections. Unlike traditional Search cameras the FL360 is not a “one trick pony.”
IMPROVED COLLABORATION & REPORTING
The tablet that comes with FL360 Kit can be connected via LTE/3G/GSM/FirstNet making it compatible with most mobile networks around the world. 360° Spherical Video or snapshot recordings can be shared, stored for secondary review. All recordings are encoded with current time, date, GPS location which will allow recordings to be easily plotted on maps and organized.
REDUCED DOWN-TIME & COST
The FL360 contains no moving parts yet achieves a wider field of view than competitive units. Mechanical articulated joints, integral to traditional search cameras are prone to failure and breakage. Repairs are expensive and can put a traditional camera out of service for periods of a month or more. The FL360 comes standard with onboard diagnostics and software that can be updated over the internet greatly reducing the potential for down time due to service. CAPABILITY AUGMENTATION
Ongoing software development and capability enhancements based upon direct customer feedback will increase the capabilities of the FL360 going forward. Upgrades and additional features can be downloaded by simply updating the FL360 application.
